2019 Award-Winners – Top 10 U.S. Destinations

There are thousands of destinations to choose from in the United States. Our 2019 Publisher’s Picks offer some obvious choices, along with some out-of-the-way selections. Regardless, these Top 10 places should be on your travel list in 2020.
Austin, Texas
Long touted as the “Music Captial of the World,” Austin is full of vibrancy and a myriad of things to do for singles, families and even business executives. The city has some of the state’s best fare and also boasts a health-conscious scene for everyone to enjoy.
Clarksville, Tennessee
Hip at heart, authentic from the start. That’s Clarksville, Tennessee. Their rich history and gorgeous downtown architecture are encompassed by a meandering river. Their charming downtown is filled with vibrant and passionate business owners who love their community and are actively involved in making it better.
Historic attractions and gorgeous architecture, natural beauty with a wide range of outdoor recreation, family-friendly entertainment, an active arts and music culture, a serious variety of local and ethnic food, craft spirits (breweries, distillery and winery), and special events throughout the year, offer travelers a ton to see and do.
Established in 1784 at the juncture of the Cumberland and Red Rivers, Clarksville is one of the state’s oldest cities. But, we’re also one of the state’s youngest with a median age of 30. Today, a fully developed RiverWalk begins at the intersection of the city’s founding and tells Clarksville’s story from that historic point. And, it’s the best place around to witness a jaw-dropping river sunset.
Denver, Colorado
Winter makes The Mile High City sparkle. There’s plenty of snowy fun this year, from a Winter Brew Fest to a rare winter concert at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. Denver is also the world’s largest après ski town. It’s a great place to gear up, find deals and acclimatize before you hit the higher Rocky Mountain ski slopes of Colorado. You can even ride a ski train from downtown to Winter Park Resort. Year round, this city is an amazing adventure.
New Orleans, LA.
One of the nation’s melting pots of culture, food and music, New Orleans has it all for the most astute traveler. It is known for its annual Mardi Gras celebrations and for its association with the development of blues and jazz. This city has a vibe like no other and one that is sure to entertain any guest.

San Antonio, TX
The Alamo City is at the heartbeat of Texas. Home of the Alamo and the world-famous Riverwalk and now UNESCO certified Missions, San Antonio is a traveler’s delight. The city prides itself on its Hispanic roots but doesn’t shy away from the blending of all it’s cultures. Food, fun, entertainment and more, this city is sure to delight any traveler.
Santa Fe, NM

It’s a good thing, too—after spending all day touring the beautiful desert, you’ll be grateful for some pampering.
As well, this area of the country is known far and wide for it’s top-notch and world-class golf resorts. If that’s your thing, you don’t want to miss out.
Tuolomme County, CA
Tuolumne County is located in California’s Gold Country and High Sierra regions. 58% of Yosemite National Park lies within the borders of Tuolumne County. Just a two hour drive south of Sacramento, east of San Francisco and north of Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne County is easily accessible from all point on the compass.
