The Hotel Guide Launches AI Travel Planning with AtlasGuru
September 15, 2026 · Edward Leos
For more than three decades, The Hotel Guide has helped travelers discover hotels, destinations and experiences worth going farther for.
Now we’re taking the next step.
The Hotel Guide has partnered with AtlasGuru to bring personalized AI-powered travel planning directly into The Hotel Guide experience — becoming AtlasGuru’s first publishing partner.
The goal is simple: make it easier to move from being inspired by a trip to actually planning one.
From Reading About a Journey to Building It
Great travel content has always been about more than information.
The right hotel, destination or story can make you imagine yourself there before you’ve booked a flight or packed a bag.
But travel planning often becomes much less inspiring.
Tabs open. Searches pile up. Hotel options blur together. And the original reason you wanted to take the trip can quickly become buried under logistics.
Our work with AtlasGuru is designed to change that.
Travelers will increasingly be able to use The Hotel Guide’s own destination and hospitality content to ask questions, explore ideas and build personalized itineraries based on their interests, travel style and the kind of experience they actually want.
Not simply:
“Where do you want to go?”
But:
“How do you want this trip to feel?”
AI That Supports the Journey
AtlasGuru has been developing AI specifically for travel since 2023. Its technology enables travel brands to transform their own content and destination knowledge into personalized itineraries and conversational travel-planning experiences.
For The Hotel Guide, that means the inspiration and the planning process can finally live much closer together.
“Great travel content has always done more than inform — it makes you feel something about a place before you’ve ever set foot there,” said Kim Bennett, Founder & CEO of AtlasGuru. “Our job is making sure that feeling doesn’t get lost the moment someone starts planning.”
Bennett added that The Hotel Guide is AtlasGuru’s first publishing partner, calling the collaboration a natural proof point for combining decades of trusted editorial content with personalized itinerary technology.
Where Technology Meets Human Expertise
We also believe travel is still deeply personal.
AI can help travelers explore faster, identify possibilities and make sense of an overwhelming number of choices.
But sometimes you still want a person who understands the trip.
That’s why this integration also works alongside the THG Luxury Travel Club, where travelers can access additional support in planning and booking select hotels, resorts, villas and experiences.
A traveler can move from inspiration to itinerary and, when needed, bring in human expertise to help complete the journey.
“AI shouldn’t replace great travel journalism or human expertise,” said Edward R. Leos, CEO & Publisher of The Hotel Guide. “It should make both more useful.”
A Different Future for Travel Publishing
The way travelers discover destinations is changing.
Search is becoming conversational.
Travelers are increasingly asking AI for recommendations tailored to how they live, what they value and what they want from an experience.
We believe travel media has to evolve with that behavior.
The future isn’t simply publishing more content.
It is making trusted content more useful.
It is helping a traveler discover the right experience, understand why it fits them and take the next step without losing the emotion that made them want to travel in the first place.
That’s what we’re building with AtlasGuru.
And we’re just getting started.
Tell us what you want to feel, not just where you want to go.
