PlumpJack Collection of Wineries

PlumpJack Collection of Wineries creates wines that reflect their world-renowned terroir and is comprised of world-class Napa Valley-based wineries PlumpJack Estate, CADE Estate, Odette Estate, and 13th Vineyard by CADE Estate.
PlumpJack Estate Winery sits in the heart of the acclaimed Oakville AVA, surrounded by a 42-acre estate vineyard that yields an intricate array of soils cultivating highly coveted, celebrated wines that pay homage to the land from which they originate. Its winery building and vineyard date back to the 1800s, when winemaking pioneers first took advantage of a unique position on the valley floor.
CADE Estate Winery is Napa Valley’s first 100% LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified winery, promoting a whole-building approach to sustainability. Sitting high above the fog line at an elevation of 1,800 feet within the Vaca Mountain Range overlooking Napa Valley, its philosophy blends organic farming with modern artisanal winemaking, expressing the unique terroir of its Howell Mountain estate.
Odette Estate Winery is committed to producing elegant, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that highlights the unique terroir of its Stags Leap District Estate Vineyard. It believes in environmental responsibly and preserving the land for generations to come through sustainable practices, reflected in their LEED Gold Certified winery and organically farmed, CCOF-accredited vineyard.
As the crow flies, about a half mile over the mountain from CADE Estate lies the seldom-told story of an extraordinary winery, 13th Vineyard. Its roots inspired the winery’s namesake as the thirteenth bonded winery in California.
It dates to the 1800s when Jean Brun, a native of Bordeaux, and Jean V. Chaix, were one of the first to plant Medoc grapes on the Estate. In 1886, the duo built a three-story gravity-fed winery made of stone. They were innovators and trailblazers during a time that celebrated old traditions, which the PlumpJack Collection felt a special kinship to.
This property has allowed The PlumpJack Collection to evolve the production of their Estate-driven wines which they now make in this historic stone winery.
The PlumpJack Collection most recently acquired Oso Vineyard—a sprawling, 129 acre high-elevation site in northeastern Napa Valley, nested between Sugarloaf Mountain and Howell Mountain. Previously owned by the Michael Mondavi Family Estate, the property boasts three lakes, unique for dry Pope Valley, providing an abundant water source for vines while fostering the biodiversity from which its name originates. “Oso” is the Spanish word for bear, a reference to the black bears that frequent the vineyard and feast on ripe grapes during fall.
Rocky, porous soil, high elevation, and high drainage stress the vines, leading to intense varietal characteristics with firm structures that provide excellent aging potential.
The PlumpJack Collection crafts Adaptation wines using grapes from Oso Vineyard, while managing the vineyard’s fourteen acres of Sauvignon Blanc. Experience Napa Valley from their Oakville, Howell Mountain, and Stags Leap District estates to explore their critically acclaimed wines that honor the land and embrace tradition and innovation.
