Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa is the latest county hot spot to participate in the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County’s “Shades of Culture” campaign.
The giant shades are prominently displayed in the resort’s main lobby. Fully assembled, the Palm Beach-inspired, aqua-colored glasses stand nearly 8 feet tall, 10 feet wide, and 2 1/2 feet deep.
“We are thrilled and honored to participate in the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County’s award-winning campaign,” said Roger Amidon, general manager of Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa. “We have guests visiting with us from around the globe, and this is a great way to showcase the art and culture our community has to offer.”
The larger-than-life sunnies display two new images in each lens. One lens features a candid shot of American artist Lon Brauer painting a sunrise on the beach, while the other lens displays a shot of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse by William A. Leonard, an architecture, real estate, and fine art photographer.
Guests and art lovers alike are encouraged to visit the resort to pose for a selfie or group shot in front of the one-of-a-kind shades, then post their photos to social media using #palmbeachculture.
The specs, inspired by the green palms and blue sea of the Palm Beaches, will be on display at the resort through April 4, 2021.
