With April showers giving way to May flowers and the splendor of Colorado’s warm-weather season, Dunton Destinations announces the reopening of Dunton River Camp for the season.
Set on a former Cattle Ranch of nearly 500 acres, the seasonal tented camp offers eight luxury tents, encouraging guests to unplug and embrace the resort’s stunning Colorado location on the banks of the Dolores River in total privacy.
Prime Location
The property’s prime location offers incredible trails for hiking or biking that are accessible directly from camp. Each tent is assigned two mountain bikes for guests to use at leisure throughout their stay.
There is no better place to unwind, whether fishing for hours in Dunton’s wonderful trout-rich river steps from each tent or relaxing in the river-side sauna.
To celebrate the 2022 summer season, Dunton River Camp offers a curated collection of experiences that showcase the property’s exquisite location for outdoor adventures, award-winning food and wine, impeccable hospitality, and nurturing wellness offerings.
From special holiday celebrations and themed packages to the second annual ‘Wine on the Fly’ event, guests will be delighted by the opportunity to combine and enjoy various passions and interests into one unforgettable experience:

Wine on the Fly can be added to any tent booking for $250 per person per night / 3-nights minimum required at Dunton River Camp. Click here for full package inclusions.
Barbara’s Bar
In addition to the vast array of outdoor spaces, the property is also excited to welcome guests back to several upgraded shared interior spaces, including Barbara’s Bar, an extension to the neighboring original 19th-century Farm House.
Barbara’s Bar serves as the property’s interior bar and lounge space, featuring an antique pool table and custom-made game table, as well as a wood-burning stove, and separate plush seating areas to enjoy while sipping on one of Dunton’s signature cocktails or a glass of wine from the property’s award-winning wine lists.
The original Farm House, which houses the camp’s dining room underwent some renovation in 2021 to match the design and decor of the newly added bar and lounge.
Named after the beloved woman who at one time lived on the ranch, Barbara’s Bar at Dunton River Camp is an inviting lounge outfitted in Dunton’s signature rustic-chic décor. It is the perfect place for relaxing after a day of fly fishing, mountain biking, or simply lounging in the fresh air.
