St. Regis Longboat Key Resort Earns Designation

The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is pleased to announce it has received the coveted AAA Five Diamond designation in its first year open. The accolade puts the resort among a highly select group representing the top tier of the hospitality industry in North America showcasing world-class luxury, amenities, service and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

This achievement ranks The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort among fewer than one percent of the more than 23,000 AAA inspected lodgings. Around 145 hotels in U.S.A., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean are designated Five Diamond, and The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort’s appointment makes it one of only two properties on the West Coast of Florida with the designation.

“We are very excited to receive this prestigious award from AAA in our first year of operations,” said Winfred van Workum, General Manager of The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort. “This is a testament to the quality of service that we take the utmost pride in offering our guests and a benchmark we will strive for each year.”

To earn the distinctive AAA Five Diamond designation, hotels and restaurants must pass a rigorous evaluation that includes unannounced in-person inspections and anonymous overnight stays, followed by a review from a panel of experts as a final step to ensure credibility. Diamond lists are updated monthly, as AAA Inspectors visit properties throughout the year. All AAA Diamond Program hotels and restaurants are re-evaluated annually to ensure they provide the best experience for travelers and diners.
